Welcome to Blooming Embroidery, LLC! We're Sherry and Russell, a husband-and-wife team creating handcrafted, personalized embroidery and sublimation gifts from our home in beautiful Hawaii. 🌺
Sherry — CEO & Embroidery Artist
Crafting has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up sewing, embroidering, painting, and trying just about every creative outlet imaginable. When I discovered machine embroidery, I fell completely in love — it brought together everything I cherish: art, design, sewing, creating, and most of all, making people happy with something truly one of a kind.
I spent years as a stay-at-home mom raising our two kids, earned my degree in Elementary Education in 2016, and taught school for years before retiring to do what I've always been passionate about — creating beautiful, personalized pieces that people will treasure.
Russell — CFO & Sublimation Specialist
Russell is a proud U.S. Army veteran and spent 30 years as a professional truck driver before semi-retiring to join me in this adventure. He handles all of our sublimation work and co-designs many of our products. He's the numbers guy — our CFO — keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Together we make a pretty great team (35 years of marriage and counting!).
Our Journey to Hawaii
Born and raised in New York, we've called many places home over the years — New York, Alaska, Colorado, Arizona — and now we're lucky enough to live in Hawaii, where the spirit of aloha inspires everything we create. Our two grown children are spread across the country (one in New York, one in Arizona), and though we miss them every day, our craft and our aloha spirit are rooted right here in the islands.
